The following are images collected during the creation of the 'Swamped' show. Photography is a passion of mine, but is also an art form that I struggle with - this is probably due to my incredible ability to analyze things to death (I mean, is the 'Me' coming out in the photos? Is the message of the 'moment' being captured and shared, or am i simply documenting a time and place?) Am I trying too hard? - I don't know, but I enjoy it, it helps my painting, and occasionally, I get a shot where i say, "... damn straight!, people will 'feel' something about this...". Preparing for the Swamped show has helped me find a focus for both my painting and my photography. I have absolutely found a new respect and interest in a landscape that we rarely stop and look at( 'can't see the swamp for the cattails) Enjoy!
