I have lived in Guelph, Ontario for the past 12 years with my wife and our entourage of house pets. I grew up with limitless space to roam on a farm in Grey County and now find myself sandwiched like a sardine in 'the burbs'. Finding the landscape of cookie-cutter houses less than inspiring, I hit the road and adventure beyond the city limits. Yes, sometimes I even go down trails that a
re unpaved all by myself and without a cell phone - really pushing the limits, living dangerously, 'on the edge' some might say. These little adventures into the rugged outback of Southern Ontario are my escape into the natural space in which I grew up and find myself most comfortable. I sketch from memory, the things that caught my eye. This fantastic memory of mine distorts, exagerates and even eliminates reality (wife nods, yes) and I am left with the images that grace the canvas. Here and now, I share them with you - please have an opinion, any opinion (my pets say very little about my art). To see my freshly painted art, up close and personal, visit The Whitestone Gallery in Guelph, Ontario.
